Fisher Price Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo Review

A few months back, when I was exploring the Walmart clearance section, I found the Fisher Price Zoo Talkers marked at 75% off! Of course, I had to snatch it up for my kids because, let’s face it, I can’t pass up an awesome bargain on a cool toy! Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo is one of the neatest toys that my kids have to play with and I can’t wait to tell you why.

The Fisher-Price Little People Zoo Talkers Animal Sounds Zoo comes with three animals as a starter kit. Ours had a lion, gorilla, and a polar bear, one of each of the environments in the zoo. The basic premise of the toy is a simple one: you place the animals on the red stage button and push down to hear the zoo talk about each animal. It tells you the same and the sound that they make. Each animal has a unique set of sounds that are built into the toy. You can buy additional animals to add some variety, like elephants, zebras, bears, turtles, panda, penguins, tigers, and more!

The design is of sturdy construction made from a strong plastic that appears difficult to crack or break. It’s light and easy to transport with the carrying handle. The animals are relatively realistic, much more so than the other animal sets that I had seen before. The sound quality is pretty good too! I was impressed with the clarity of sound that this toy can produce.

Now the cons: It is worth noting that the packaging shows there is a monkey in the kit, but it’s actually a gorilla. This wasn’t a huge deal to me, especially because it mentioned that the monkey was not in the kit on the back of the packaging. It’s just worth knowing that the monkey will not be included if that is a main selling point for you. Often times, if the animal isn’t pushed down with fairly good accuracy on the stage, the wrong animal sound will be produced. My daughter was really confused when her leopard made the noise of the zebra. She looked at me with the funniest look on her face. I had to explain that the zoo was a little bit confused.
