Susan Brown's Baby All Natural Dead Sea Salt Foot Soak and Foot Therapy Cream Review
May 14, 2013 By Robyn Leave a Comment
I have been lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to try out an AMAZING relaxation and health product line called “Susan Brown’s Baby”. These products are specifically designed with pregnant women and moms in mind, which is perfect for me!
I was given two products to sample, Susan Brown’s Baby Just For Mom Dead Sea Salt Foot Soak and Susan Brown’s Baby Just For Mom Foot Therapy Cream
.
Whether your feet are tired, swollen or just need a refreshing break, treat yourself to a relaxing foot soak with Susan Brown’s Baby™ Dead Sea Salt Foot Soak. Natural mint and tea tree oils relieve stress while your feet are cooled, soothed, and moisturized. Our dermatologist tested complex includes Natural Essential Oil Aromatherapy, to calm while Shea and Moringa Butter, and Tea Tree Oil.
Use alone or following our Dead Sea Salt Foot Soak, Susan Brown’s Baby™ Foot Therapy Cream is a rich hydrating formulation infused a dermatologist tested array of rich botanical moisturizers including SHEA, JOJOBA, COCOA AND MORINGA BUTTERS. It helps to relieve the discomforts of over-stressed feet.
As most of you know and are probably tired of hearing, as of writing this review, I am just over 38 weeks pregnant. I’m in the waiting game right now, just hoping that my little boy will be here sooner rather than later. That being said, this is one of the most uncomfortable periods that I’ve been through so far. My first trimester was incredibly rough (I lost over 18 pounds from severe morning sickness), my second was much better, and just recently, the third has started to make me feel pretty miserable. My feet are swollen and sore all of the time and I barely have any time to sit down and take a load off of them because my daughter is two. I know that there are moms out there who know exactly what I’m talking about. That is the main reason that I was so happy to receive these products to test.
First, I mixed the foot soak in with a couple of gallons of water in the bathtub and let my feet soak in it. For the first time in several weeks, I felt tension releasing from my feet, almost like magic. The soak had a wonderful, botanical smell that was relaxing and soothing, making a luxurious soak that I am certainly very grateful for! After drying off my feet, I used the Foot Therapy Cream to moisturize my dry heels (all I can wear right now are my flip-flops). Although I usually don’t like the way that lotion feels on my feet, this was a silky and smooth texture that rubbed on without an oily feeling.
I thoroughly enjoyed the Susan Brown’s Baby products and I recommend them highly to anyone looking to relax and let go!
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Thrift Store Shopping: 4 Items You Should Always Buy New
May 14, 2013 By Robyn Leave a Comment
Thrift Store Shopping: New vs. Used
Whenever I can, I always advocate buying gently used products when you are thrift store shopping. We buy clothes, electronics, household items, and more! Despite my willingness to buy items used, there are some things that I refuse to buy used for one reason or another. Check out my list below and see if you agree with me.
- Bike Helmets- Helmets are the most basic form of protection between your child’s (or your own) head and the ground during a bicycling accident. Dare I say, it may even be a life or death situation. Invest in a new helmet that is well-fitted and you might just save a life.
- Mattresses- This might be a no-brainer, but I would never advocate buying a used mattress. Most obviously, you could bring foreign contaminants into your home such as mold, bedbugs, or other diseases. Don’t risk it! Buy a new mattress from a reputable dealer that has a manufacturer’s warranty (most have at least 10-15 years). Be sure keep your sales receipt and all tags from the mattress.
- Underwear/Swimsuits- I probably don’t have to cover this one, but you can never be too sure. Used underwear and swimsuits pose a hygiene risk that I wouldn’t be willing to take myself. Take advantage of clearance prices at the end of the summer sales or even at dollar stores. These can make for cheaper prices, but less health risk.
- Tires- Similarly to my first point on this list, tires are a safety item and should therefore be purchased in the highest quality in your price range. Used tires have less tire tread and pose a hazard to your health.
I’d love to hear your opinions on which items to skip when you’re thrift store shopping! Leave me a comment below!
